Patriotic Hunt

Thank you for your interest in Whiskey Bay Alligator Hunt's first annual Patriotic Hunt. Your participation in our inaugural year is greatly appreciated and will be crucial to the improvement of our facilities to host wounded warriors in the future. We would like to be able to cater to their specific needs while providing a safe and memorable experience to our country's best and their sponsors

First off I want to let you know that we are fully insured for both on land and on the water. Our tax ID number will be furnished upon request for the businesses that require it. We are not a nonprofit organization; however we are committed to using profits for improvements and maintenance of our equipment, facilities and lease of property to take our soldiers hunting.

With your $3000.00 investment, the service member (he or she) along with a representative from your company, will have the opportunity to take part in an experience of a life time in the beautiful Atchafalaya Basin. The experience will include:

1. The opportunity to scout, hunt and take (1) Alligator.

2. All meals provided: breakfast, lunch and if needed for an overnight stay, dinner and breakfast the next morning. Bottled water and power aids will be provided. (No alcohol provided)

3. If no gator is taken on the first day or your gator is taken late and is required to stay in the cooler overnight before processing, accommodations for an overnight stay will be provided. (males only at this time)

4. Processing includes skinning, deboning and packing the meat in the sponsors or service members cooler.

5. A European skull mount of your taken gator will be made for the service member. This service does take time (approximately 3 months). Once the mount is complete we will contact you.

6. We will skin the gator in the way the sponsor or service member prefers. A trophy cut is used when the hide will be tanned with the scutes of the gator's back on display. The other way to skin the gator is for leather for items to be made from. Either way the hide will have to be inspected by LDWF. We recommend Acadian Leather if you chose to have something made with it.

They can both inspect and process the hide. We will bring the hide to them and will get them in touch with you or your service member for instructions

in processing your hide. After delivery to Acadian Leather you or your service member will communicate with them. We at WBAH are not responsible for any fees for tanning or for items made from the hide. This will be the responsibility of the sponsor or the service member.

1. We will provide a t-shirt for the sponsor and the service member. If you would like a copy of our logo to make shirts for your company we can provide it. If you would like to have shirts made with your logo included we can get together and collaborate.

2. We will add to our website a page for the Patriotic Hunt that will include your business logo and a "Thank You for your support of our military service members". A picture of your representative and your service member with your gator will be included. We will also add this to our social media pages and mention your business in future podcast. Also feel free to video or take pictures of the hunt for your use. We encourage you to bring a banner or signage to use in the back ground of your photos.

Your participation in our First Annual Patriotic Hunt has not only honored a deserving service member, it has helped insure that we are able to include our wounded warriors in future hunts. Giving back to those that sacrifice so much for us is very near and dear to our hearts and in our small way an expression of appreciation to them for what they have done.
